Gisèle Hart FLANC Membership Award ]
Three years of free FLANC membership (2007-2008)
This award was created to honor Gisèle Hart for her many years of service to FLANC. Mrs. Hart, now retired, who was a truly dedicated and enthusiastic French teacher and long-time FLANC Council member, has made significant contributions to the field of foreign language teaching. As a Master Teacher of dozens of aspiring French teachers in the Bay Area, Mrs. Hart was greatly instrumental in the promotion of language learning for over thirty years. Purpose of the Award: To encourage beginning teachers to devote themselves to the language teaching field. Criteria for the Award:
Application procedure:
- Complete the award application -- applications must have a signature from a school principal or department chair verifying language teaching experience.
- Along with the application, send in a brief curriculum vitae.
- Applications must be received by November 30, 2007.
To be considered for the membership award, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a current member of FLANC
- Have fewer than 3 years of language teaching experience
The winner of the award for 2007-2008 will be chosen by drawing at the December 2007 FLANC Executive Council meeting.
